The Orlando Magic have been a surprise story this season, but asking them to compete at the Chase Center without Franz Wagner (22.7 PPG) and likely without defensive anchor Jalen Suggs (doubtful) is too tall an order. You're removing the team's primary scoring engine and their best answer for Steph Curry in one fell swoop.
Golden State's home splits are telling—they are 8-4 at the Chase Center compared to just 6-11 on the road. The addition of Jimmy Butler alongside Steph Curry gives them two elite closers, whereas Orlando is forced to pile enormous responsibility on Paolo Banchero. Whenever Jalen Suggs is out of the lineup, the opposing star guard usually has a field day, and it just so happens that tonight that guard is the greatest shooter we've ever seen. Without Suggs' constant hounding and defensive energy, Steph is going to find those split-second openings that he almost always turns into a 30-point performance. At home and with a clear path to get his shots off, I don't see anyone on this Magic roster keeping him under thirty.
