I’m backing Milwaukee because Freddy Peralta’s .192 opponent average with 168 strikeouts in 153.2 innings smothers rallies, and that plays against a Phillies core that leans on contact from Bohm at .276 and Marsh at .275. Ranger Suárez is solid at a 3.02 ERA, but a .246 batting average against offers enough daylight for Turang’s .291 and Monasterio’s .294 to create traffic, and an 86-54 club knows how to turn that into runs. The worry is the Brewers’ bottom can go quiet—Perkins at .207 and Seigler at .194—but Peralta’s 1.07 WHIP limits free baserunners so one swing from Harper’s 23 homers is less likely to flip it. This profiles as a tight, low-scoring grinder, so I’ll ride the better ace at home and take the moneyline cash instead of getting cute.
