The read
Monday night at the Linc, two 2-4 division rivals meet, and the Eagles are home underdogs with Tanner McKee under center again while Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the rest of the season. Dallas is laying 4.5 on the road, and I'm going with the Cowboys.
Philadelphia's offense is the weakest unit on the field, and it just lost its two most-targeted receivers. McKee's only start was a 14-25 home loss to a Carolina defense allowing 27.7 a game: 222 yards, eight punts on 11 drives. DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks both played that day; both are out tonight. What's left is Dallas Goedert, Makai Lemon (18 of 28 for 127 yards this season) and two tight ends coming off IR without a snap this year. And this isn't a one-game McKee overreaction. With Hurts, the Eagles managed 172 yards against the Rams and 232 at Jacksonville.
The run game has disappeared without Saquon Barkley: 22 rushing yards at Jacksonville, 35 against Carolina. Dallas's run defense is its real soft spot, having given up 241 to Tampa and 192 to Baltimore, so Barkley is the swing. But Barkley has missed two games with a hamstring and last played 7% of snaps in Week 4. Trending toward playing is not a full workload.
Dallas should move the ball. The Cowboys have gained 303 or more yards in five of six games, and Philadelphia has allowed 375, 415, 408 and 399 in its last four. The Eagles are without Nolan Smith and Michael Carter II, and Jonathan Greenard didn't practice all week. That should give Dak Prescott time to find CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and Ryan Flournoy.
Why it's only a lean: Prescott has thrown four interceptions in the last two games, while Philadelphia hasn't turned it over in three straight. Short fields off Dallas giveaways are the Eagles' clearest path to staying inside the number. The Dallas defense has allowed at least 20 in every game, and the hook matters: a Dallas win by a field goal or by four loses this ticket. Philly's interior line is also healthier than it was in Week 6, with Landon Dickerson off IR and Drew Kendall named the starting center.
If Barkley is active without limits and Greenard plays, this gets thin. As it stands, Dallas is the only offense here that has shown it can sustain drives.

QUARTERBACK
Dak Prescott is the projected starting quarterback for DAL
6.66 Y/AThrough 6 games in 2026, Dak Prescott threw for 1639 passing yards, completed 66.3% of his passes and averaged 6.66 yards per attempt. Last season over 17 games he threw for 4552 yards, completed 67.3% and averaged 7.59 yards per attempt, 30-10 touchdowns to interceptions. This season's 10-5 touchdown-to-interception line is 6 games in.
Tanner McKee is the projected starting quarterback for PHI
4.78 Y/AIn his first 2026 game, Tanner McKee threw for 215 passing yards, completed 57.8% of his passes and averaged 4.78 yards per attempt. Last season over 4 games he threw for 274 yards, completed 55.8% and averaged 6.37 yards per attempt, 1-1 touchdowns to interceptions. This season's 1-0 touchdown-to-interception line is 1 game in.
TRENCHES
PHI: 119.3 rushing yards allowed per game to DAL's 149.8
30.5 YPGPhiladelphia allows 119.3 rushing yards a game over 6 games, and Dallas allows 149.8. Run totals depend partly on game script, since teams that lead late run more, and the sheet doesn't say how these games went. Six games shows a real gap. Philadelphia's backs face the softer front, which is the side to lean on when thinking about rushing lines.
PASS RUSH
DAL: 1.17 sacks taken per game to PHI's 2.67
1.5 SACKSDallas gives up 1.17 sacks a game, down from 2.38 last season, while Philly has gone from 2.33 to 2.67. Six games is a short window, so Dallas may give some back. The Cowboys line has kept its quarterback clean, which fits their high passing volume. Philly's quarterback faces more pressure, which can stall drives.
DAL: 6 sack yards lost per game to PHI's 18
12 YDSDAL is at 6 sack yards lost per game over 6 games; PHI is at 18 over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 16 over 17 games and PHI at 13 over 17 games.
PACE & SCRIPT
DAL: 25.2 points per game to PHI's 17.7
7.5 PPGDAL is at 25.2 points per game over 6 games; PHI is at 17.7 over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 27.7 over 17 games and PHI at 22.3 over 17 games.
PHI: 22.8 points allowed per game to DAL's 26.5
3.7 PPGDAL is at 26.5 points allowed per game over 6 games; PHI is at 22.8 over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 30.1 over 17 games and PHI at 19.1 over 17 games.
EXPLOSIVE PLAYS
DAL: 5.52 yards per play to PHI's 4.42
1.1 Y/PDallas gains more per snap than Philadelphia, though both offenses are down from last season, when Dallas was at 5.96 and Philadelphia at 5.27. Philadelphia had no play of 20 or more yards in its last game, and its drop to 4.42 points to an offense that has to march down the field in small gains. That is hard to keep up for a full game. Some rebound toward last season is likely, but at home the Eagles will probably lean on long, slow drives while Dallas tries to hit bigger plays, with Dak Prescott looking for George Pickens.
RED ZONE
DAL: 3.67 red-zone trips per game to PHI's 2.67
1 TRIPSDAL is at 3.67 red-zone trips per game over 6 games; PHI is at 2.67 over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 3.82 over 17 games and PHI at 2.59 over 17 games.
PHI: 54.2% red-zone scoring allowed to DAL's 66.7%
12.5 PPDAL is at 66.7% red-zone scoring allowed over 6 games; PHI is at 54.2% over 6 games. Those are what each defense has allowed in this season's games through Oct 25.
DAL: 77.3% red-zone scoring rate to PHI's 68.8%
8.5 PPDAL is at 77.3% red-zone scoring rate over 6 games; PHI is at 68.8% over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 56.9% over 17 games and PHI at 70.5% over 17 games.
MISMATCH
DAL: 267.2 pass yards a game to PHI's 173.3
267.2 VS 173.3Dallas throws for 267.2 yards a game, almost the same as its 266.3 last season, so this is who the Cowboys are. Philadelphia is at 173.3 over six games, down from 194.3 last season, which suggests a passing game that leans on the run by design more than one that is broken. The Dallas number should hold. In Philadelphia, the Eagles win by shortening the game, and the Cowboys need the ball enough times to let their passing volume matter.
COVERAGE
PHI: 38.9% third downs allowed to DAL's 54.7%
15.8 PPPhiladelphia has let opponents convert 38.9% of third downs over 6 games, while Dallas has allowed 54.7% over 6. Dallas giving up a conversion on more than half of third downs means drives stay alive and the clock runs. Philadelphia should sustain long possessions at home, which points toward Eagles time of possession and scoring in this spot.
PHI: 5.38 yards per play allowed to DAL's 6.1
0.72 Y/POver 6 games, Philadelphia gives up 5.38 yards every time an offense snaps the ball, while Dallas gives up 6.1. The sheet has no opponent list, so we can't tell whether either number was helped by a soft schedule. Six games is enough to say Philadelphia's defense has been the stingier unit. When Dallas has the ball, expect fewer chunk plays than the Philly offense gets against Dallas.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
DAL and PHI are even since 2025
1-1 SERIESDallas and Philadelphia split last season, and both games came down to a field goal or less. Philadelphia won 24-20 at home in September, and Dallas won 24-21 at home in November. Both games were close, the home team won each, and neither team has played the other this season. Expect another tight game with home field mattering, but a two-game sample from last season carries limited weight.

Dee Winters (LB) is out for DAL

Michael Carter II (CB) is out for PHI
OUTPHI lists Michael Carter II as out on the injury report. Reported Oct 26.
Drew Shelton (OT) is out for DAL
OUTDAL lists Drew Shelton as out on the injury report. Reported Oct 26.
Dontayvion Wicks (WR) is out for PHI
OUTWicks is out for Philadelphia against Dallas, the same game DeVonta Smith misses. The report gives no injury detail. With two Eagles receivers out, depth at the position is thin for this game.
KaVontae Turpin (WR) is out for DAL
OUTDallas has ruled out Turpin for Monday night in Philadelphia. The report gives no injury or timeline. Check who handles his snaps on offense and in the return game before betting Dallas props.
Britain Covey (WR) is out for PHI
OUTBritain Covey hurt his knee during Monday's game against the Cowboys and was ruled out for the rest of the night on Oct 27. That is an in-game ruling, so it says nothing yet about next week; a knee injury can mean anything from a short absence to a longer one. The sheet does not say who takes his snaps or return work. Watch Philadelphia's practice reports this week before pricing him into anything ahead.
Emari Demercado (RB) is out for DAL
OUTDemercado is a coach's decision inactive for Monday night in Philadelphia, so this is about the game plan and he is healthy. Dallas has chosen other running backs for this one, and the sheet does not name them.
Cole Payton (QB) is out for PHI
OUTCole Payton is inactive for Monday's game against Dallas as a coach's decision, with no injury involved. He stays available as Philadelphia's emergency quarterback, so he only plays if something goes badly wrong at the position. This changes nothing about how Philadelphia's offense should look in this game.
DeVonta Smith (WR) is out for PHI
OUTPhiladelphia will play Dallas without DeVonta Smith, and Dontayvion Wicks is out too. The report gives no injury or timeline for Smith. With two receivers missing, the Eagles' passing game will lean on whoever is left, so check the active list before betting their props.
Jalen Hurts (QB) is on injured reserve for PHI
IRHurts (calf) is expected to be held out of football activities for multiple months and miss the rest of the season after new imaging over the weekend revealed several blood clots in his lungs, Tom Pelissero of Netflix reports. Reported Oct 19.
Jakorian Bennett (CB) is ir-r for PHI
IR-RBennett (knee) will remain on injured reserve and is inactive for Monday night's matchup with Dallas. Reported Oct 26.
Marist Liufau (LB) is ir-r for DAL

P.J. Locke (S) is ir-r for DAL
IR-RLocke (foot) has been downgraded from questionable to out for Monday's game against the Eagles. Reported Oct 25.
Will Shipley (RB) is on injured reserve for PHI

SITUATIONAL
DAL: 267.2 team passing yards per game to PHI's 173.3
93.8 YPGDAL is at 267.2 team passing yards per game over 6 games; PHI is at 173.3 over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 266.3 over 17 games and PHI at 194.3 over 17 games.
DAL: 23.3 first downs per game to PHI's 14.8
8.5 FDDallas moves the chains far more often than Philadelphia, and at 23.1 last season, that's just the Cowboys offense. Philly has dropped from 18 last season over six games, a sign their attack has been less sustained. More first downs means more snaps and more time of possession for Dallas. Philly will likely need explosive plays more than long drives.
DAL (2-4) at PHI (2-4), a division game
-23 PT GAPSame 2-4 record, different paths: Dallas is only 8 points under for the year, while Philadelphia is 31 under and has lost four straight. Both are 1-2 in their respective home and road splits, so venue hasn't told much in six games. Dallas's margin suggests a team closer to average than its record, and Philadelphia's suggests the slide is real. When records match, the scoring margin is the better tiebreaker.
DAL: 6.43 yards per pass attempt to PHI's 4.83
1.6 Y/ADAL is at 6.43 yards per pass attempt over 6 games; PHI is at 4.83 over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 7 over 17 games and PHI at 6.33 over 17 games.
DAL: 50% fourth-down conversion rate to PHI's 20%
30 PPDAL is at 50% fourth-down conversion rate over 6 games; PHI is at 20% over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 62.9% over 17 games and PHI at 52.4% over 17 games.
DAL: 47.2% third-down conversion rate to PHI's 37.3%
9.9 PPDAL is at 47.2% third-down conversion rate over 6 games; PHI is at 37.3% over 6 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 25. Last season DAL was at 41.1% over 17 games and PHI at 37.1% over 17 games.

L4Philadelphia has lost four straight and sits at 2-4. A four-game skid drags a team's market price down, sometimes past what the full season supports. The sheet does not say who those losses came against, so strength of schedule is unknown. Facing Dallas at home, think about whether the price has overreacted to the streak.
TEAM RECORD
NFC EAST game: DAL 1-1, PHI 1-0 in the division
DIVISIONDallas has split two division games and Philadelphia has won its only one. Three games in total is a thin base, and none of these numbers tells you which opponents were behind the wins and losses. Division familiarity usually tightens these games no matter what the early records say. Treat the division split as background and lean on bigger season-long form when you size up this one.

2- GARY'S PICKDALLAS GOEDERTRECEPTIONS OVER 5.5
DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are both out, and they took 18 targets between them last week. Dallas Goedert is the most reliable receiver Philadelphia has left. He's already the outlet for this offense: eight targets and six catches against Carolina in Tanner McKee's start, and nine targets and six catches at Jacksonville the week before. McKee threw 45 times in that start and worked mostly underneath, which is where a tight end piles up catches.
The matchup helps. Dallas has allowed 31 catches on 37 targets to tight ends this season, and the Cowboys are short at linebacker tonight with Dee Winters and Marist Liufau both out. The Eagles are home underdogs whose run game has produced 22 and 35 yards the last two weeks. I expect them to be throwing short and quick for most of the night, and Goedert is the first read on most of those throws. He needs six catches, which is what he's had in each of his last two games, and I get plus money on it.
What beats it: Grant Calcaterra or Eli Stowers coming off IR and taking some of his routes, Saquon Barkley playing a full game and turning this into a ground plan, or McKee looking outside to Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper. Six catches is also his high for the season, so he has to match his best day.
- GARY'S PICKCEEDEE LAMBRECEIVING YARDS OVER 78.5
Dallas should move the ball through the air against this defense, and CeeDee Lamb gets the biggest share of those throws. He drew 18 targets at Green Bay and 21 at Houston. His big games came against Washington, Baltimore and Houston: 153, 112 and 189 yards. The 9 yard game against Tampa came on a 34 snap night, and I'm not reading much into it.
Philadelphia's pass defense is missing pieces. Michael Carter II, who has played the slot, is out. Nolan Smith is out, and Jonathan Greenard didn't practice all week, which means less pressure on Dak Prescott. The Eagles have given up 1,087 yards to wide receivers in six games and at least 375 total yards in each of their last four. Prescott is throwing 41 times a game. Against a secondary this thin, Lamb on the inside should find room after the catch.
What beats it: Dallas building a lead and giving the second half to Javonte Williams, George Pickens continuing to pull targets after drawing 24 over the last two games, or Prescott interceptions ending drives early. Lamb's yardage also swings hard. He turned 18 targets into only 70 yards last week.
