The read

I’m taking the 49ers +3. Purdy has gone four games without a sack, and San Francisco has converted 57.5% of its third downs. Evans, Kittle and Samuel give him several ways to keep possessions moving against Seattle’s tough defense.

Last week against Denver, the offense worked through a slow start and delivered the late scores it needed. Seattle can absolutely make this difficult, but its inconsistent running game and third-down struggles leave room for a tight finish. San Francisco has also limited explosive plays defensively.

I trust the 49ers to stay close enough that getting a full field goal matters.

TURNOVERS

  • SEA: 2 takeaways per game to SF's 0.75

    1.25 TO

Seattle is forcing 2 turnovers a game across four games, and San Francisco only 0.75. Takeaway rates bounce around a lot in short samples, so both teams are likely to move toward average. Seattle has the better start at home. Use it as a small nudge, since turnover luck is hard to bank on.

  • SF: 0.5 turnovers committed per game to SEA's 1.25

    0.75 TO

SF is at 0.5 turnovers committed per game over 4 games; SEA is at 1.25 over 4 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 10. Last season SF was at 1.29 over 17 games and SEA at 1.65 over 17 games.

SF had 4 plays of 20+ yards in its last game, led by 56-yard pass for a touchdown (George Kittle 56 Yd pass from Brock Purdy (Eddy Pineiro Kick)); 24-yard pass (Brock Purdy Pass Complete for 24 Yds to Mike Evans); 22-yard run (Deebo Samuel Sr. 22 Yd Rush). RED ZONE

  • SF: 45.5% red-zone scoring allowed to SEA's 66.7%

    21.2 PP

MISMATCH

  • SF: 57.5% on third down to SEA's 31.1%

    57.5 VS 31.1

The widest gap between these two is third down: SF's offense converted 57.5% of its own third downs over 4 games; SEA's offense converted 31.1% of its own third downs over 4 games this season. Last season SF was at 49.8% over 17 games and SEA at 39.8% over 17 games.

COVERAGE

  • SEA: 28.6% third downs allowed to SF's 44.1%

    15.5 PP

Seattle allows opponents to convert 28.6% of third downs over four games, while San Francisco allows 44.1%. The sheet does not show which offenses each faced, and four games is short, so Seattle's rate will likely tick up. San Francisco's mark leaves more room for sustained drives. At home, Seattle's defense has the edge in getting off the field.

  • SEA: 144.8 passing yards allowed per game to SF's 209

    64.3 YPG

SF is at 209 passing yards allowed per game over 4 games; SEA is at 144.8 over 4 games. Those are what each defense has allowed in this season's games through Oct 10.

    2-1 SERIES

    SEA has taken 2 of the last 3. Jan 17, 2026: SF 6 at SEA 41 (playoffs). Jan 3, 2026: SEA 13 at SF 3. Sep 7, 2025: SF 17 at SEA 13.

REPLACEMENT

  • Zach Charbonnet (RB) is pup-r for SEA

    PUP-R

Charbonnet is still on the reserve/PUP list with a knee injury, and Mike Macdonald said after Sunday's 32-29 loss to the 49ers that he will not be activated before Thursday's game against the Broncos. PUP-R means he is out until the team activates him, so there is no game-time call to wait on for that one. The sheet does not name who takes his carries, so check Seattle's backfield usage before pricing any running back props.

  • Irv Charles (WR) is ir-r for SEA

    IR-R

Charles is ruled out for Sunday against the 49ers with a knee injury while on the injured reserve return track. He is still working his way back, and Seattle's receiver group goes without him for this game.

  • Christian Kirk (WR) is ir-r for SF

    IR-R

Kirk is on injured reserve with a calf injury, and Kyle Shanahan said the 49ers could open his practice window in two weeks. That puts him out of the Seattle game, and any return is still a few steps away.

  • Jadarian Price (RB) is on injured reserve for SEA

    IR

Price is out against San Francisco after Seattle placed him on injured reserve Saturday with a chest injury, reported Oct 3. Injured reserve rules him out for several weeks. The sheet does not say who takes his carries, so check the Seahawks backfield before betting any rushing props.

  • Julian Neal (CB) is on injured reserve for SEA

    IR

The Seahawks placed Neal (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Reported Oct 11.

SITUATIONAL

  • SF: 57.5% third-down conversion rate to SEA's 31.1%

    26.4 PP

SF is at 57.5% third-down conversion rate over 4 games; SEA is at 31.1% over 4 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 10. Last season SF was at 49.8% over 17 games and SEA at 39.8% over 17 games.

  • SF: 43.3 penalty yards per game to SEA's 81.8

    38.5 YDS

SF is at 43.3 penalty yards per game over 4 games; SEA is at 81.8 over 4 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 10. Last season SF was at 38.3 over 17 games and SEA at 46.6 over 17 games.

  • SF (4-0) at SEA (3-1), a division game

    -26 PT GAP

San Francisco is 4-0, has won 4 straight and is +58, so the record isn't hiding anything. Seattle is +32 and 2-0 at home, while the Niners have played just one road game. Both differentials back up the records, which makes this a meeting of two real teams. The home split is the one edge Seattle brings, so think of this as a closer spot than 4-0 against 3-1 suggests.

  • SF: 9.32 yards per pass attempt to SEA's 7.43

    1.9 Y/A

SF is at 9.32 yards per pass attempt over 4 games; SEA is at 7.43 over 4 games. Those are this season's games through Oct 10. Last season SF was at 6.9 over 17 games and SEA at 8.01 over 17 games.

STREAK

    W4

SF carries a 4-game winning streak into this one, sitting at 4-0 on the season. They face SEA in SF @ SEA. Current-2026 standings through 2026-10-10.

TEAM RECORD

    GEORGE KITTLERECEPTIONS UNDER 4.5
    NFLSan Francisco 49ers· -105

    George Kittle
    Receptions under 4.5

    -105 · LOST · ACTUAL 5

    San Francisco 49ers

I’m taking Kittle under 4.5 receptions at -105. Four catches can cash this ticket even if he makes several important plays. Seattle’s front can defend the run while leaving extra coverage behind it, and Emmanwori gives that coverage an athletic defender capable of handling tight ends.

Seattle has allowed 19 catches to the entire tight end position across four games this season. Kittle also shares targets with Evans, Samuel and McCaffrey. The strongest argument against me is his expanding role: San Francisco’s lead tight end played 60 of 66 snaps last week and drew six targets after getting seven against Arizona.

He caught six in that Arizona game, and Juszczyk’s fresh absence could send additional short throws his way.

  • GARY'S PICK
    BROCK PURDYINTERCEPTIONS UNDER 0.5
    NFLSan Francisco 49ers· +120

    Brock Purdy
    Interceptions under 0.5

    +120 · LOST · ACTUAL 1

    San Francisco 49ers

I’m taking Purdy under 0.5 interceptions at +120. I need San Francisco’s starting quarterback to finish without a pick, and the plus price makes that worth taking.

Through four starts this season, he has thrown one interception and avoided every sack. His improved movement gives him a way to escape when Seattle closes passing windows, while Evans, Kittle, Samuel and McCaffrey give him several shorter options.

The strongest contrary evidence is specific to this opponent: Seattle has intercepted six passes through four games, and Macdonald’s defenses have repeatedly troubled Purdy, including two interceptions in last season’s opener. I’m backing his improved protection and decision-making to carry into this matchup.
