At +128, I’m backing a matchup-specific underdog. San Francisco is starting seven left-handed hitters against Bubba Chandler, who has allowed lefties a .764 OPS and nine home runs, versus a .582 OPS and two home runs to right-handed hitters. Rafael Devers brings a .981 OPS against right-handed pitching and a 1.250 OPS over the last seven days; Bryce Eldridge and Turner Hill are at 1.083 and 1.070 over that same span. That makes the heart of this order a legitimate fit against Chandler rather than a blind reaction to last night’s 12 runs.
The starting-pitcher gap is not large enough for me to lay -152. Chandler owns a 4.26 ERA and a 4.30 ERA over his last three starts; Landen Roupp is at 4.25 and 4.50. Roupp also enters off five innings of one-run baseball against Arizona. Pittsburgh has the stronger season résumé, but this is not a major starting-pitching mismatch.
The relief situation breaks toward San Francisco tonight. Pittsburgh used six relievers yesterday, and Luke Weaver and Mason Montgomery have each appeared three times in four days. The Giants used four relievers, leaving Dylan Smith, Reiver Sanmartin and Jason Foley unused since August 31 and Ryan Walker unused since August 29.
San Francisco’s -71 run differential and the 4.65 ERA of its current bullpen are the clear risks. Pittsburgh is the better season-long team, but tonight’s handedness matchup and bullpen usage narrow the gap enough that I want the underdog price.

The price is substantial, but the season-long hit rate and tonight's lineup construction still justify it.
