I’m backing Detroit to score at least three earned runs before Peralta’s day ends. He owns a 5.33 ERA overall, a 6.79 road ERA and a 7.17 mark in August, with three-plus earned runs allowed in four of his last six starts.
Detroit starts five left-handed hitters, and lefties have produced an .811 OPS with 16 homers against him. Comerica Park suppresses power, but 11 of the 18 recent scoring plays against Peralta came without a home run.
That makes the plus price playable.
