The read
Sunday sun over Dodger Stadium, two first-place clubs finishing a four-game fight, and two starters capable of making every run feel expensive. This has the shape of another game decided in the late innings.
I’m paying the -138 because Logan Henderson has earned the cushion: three runs or fewer allowed in every start, a 2.50 ERA across his last three, and five Milwaukee wins in his last six outings. The Dodgers have scored only eight runs in this series, while Henderson already shut them out for five innings earlier this season.
Skubal can dominate this depleted Milwaukee lineup, but that still doesn’t make Dodgers -1.5 attractive. Los Angeles has a strained late-game setup, Milwaukee owns the steadier bullpen, and the Brewers have already shown twice this series that they can survive a one-run script. Give me Milwaukee plus the run and a half.

Henderson has allowed two earned runs or fewer in nine of his 11 starts, including five scoreless innings against Los Angeles in May. The Dodgers have managed only eight runs through three games in this series, and several of their key bats remain cold. Henderson’s fastball-changeup combination has limited both sides of the plate, giving me enough confidence to lay the price on another controlled outing.
Jake BauersOVER 0.5 Hits Hits-120
Not yet graded
Bauers has a hit in 12 of his last 15 games and is producing firm contact, with nine hard-hit balls and three barrels among his 20 recent balls in play. The left-on-left matchup looks intimidating, but Skubal has actually allowed left-handed hitters a .260 average, noticeably higher than his mark against righties. Batting cleanup should also guarantee Bauers multiple chances against both Skubal and a vulnerable Dodgers bullpen.
