Crow-Armstrong (.450 xwOBA vs sinkers, .486 vs sliders) and Michael Busch (.552 vs sinkers) are poised to do heavy damage against Matthews' secondary offerings. Once the starters exit, the bullpen disparity swings heavily toward the North Side. While Minnesota's relief unit ranks 24th in ERA, Craig Counsell has two fully rested, sub-3.00 ERA options in Jacob Webb and Trent Thornton to nail down the late innings. With a massive defensive advantage, the superior starting pitcher on the bump, and a rested bullpen, laying the price on the Cubs is the sharp play today.
