Colorado Rockies at Miami Marlins

Let’s not overthink this one, kid—I've seen enough bad pitching to know when a staff is waving the white flag, and Márquez’s bloated ERA (7.13) and sky-high WHIP (1.64) scream disaster against a Marlins lineup that at least puts the ball in play with Myers leading the way (.318 AVG). Miami’s Max Meyer isn’t exactly a Cy Young candidate (4.53 ERA), but he’s got enough juice to hold down a Rockies offense that’s circling the drain, with sub-.260 averages up and down the lineup and a team record (9-50) that looks like a misprint. If you’ve got the guts to lay the run line, the Marlins should bust this open by a couple—Colorado’s been a punching bag all year and nothing in these numbers says tonight will be any different.
