Pittsburgh Pirates @ Cincinnati Reds
I’m backing the Reds on the moneyline because Nick Lodolo’s 1.08 WHIP and .237 average against keep traffic light, and this Pirates lineup doesn’t punish mistakes. Pittsburgh’s order is thin; Bryan Reynolds sits at .243, and Lodolo can exploit the swing profile that produced 170 strikeouts. I respect Braxton Ashcraft’s 2.62 ERA, but it’s over a shorter workload. Cincinnati can still apply pressure with Elly De La Cruz’s 21 homers, and with Henry Davis stuck at .160 behind Reynolds, one or two runs should be enough for Lodolo—so ride with me if you’ve got the guts.
