Samuel Harris returns after gaining 558 rushing yards on 100 carries. Colorado State’s strongest answer is its larger defensive front and its stated emphasis on disciplined zone-read assignments. CSU can cover if its rebuilt offensive line supports that attack and its defense contains Hughes without losing coverage when he escapes. That is a credible opposing case. Wyoming’s rebuilt defense is the strongest obstacle, particularly if CSU establishes both its running game and downfield passing. CSU’s offensive-line readiness is the unresolved matchup fact most capable of changing my decision. Consistent protection and running room would give its offensive weapons a stronger route to separation. On the evidence available, I favor Wyoming staying close enough to make the points valuable. I’m taking +3.5 at -122 because the ticket also survives a field-goal loss; my conviction is stronger in Wyoming remaining competitive than winning outright.
