If Florida’s rebuilt offensive line creates consistent room, Baugh can support repeated scoring drives and ease Aaron Philo’s assignment. Veltkamp’s 17 interceptions and FAU’s five turnovers in its finale show how quickly the Owls could compound their defensive problems. Failed fourth downs would add another route to favorable field position for Florida. My bet assumes FAU converts its passing production into enough scoring possessions and avoids another turnover collapse. The continuity and production are established; tonight’s execution is the judgment. The unresolved matchup that could change my view is Florida’s ability to pressure Veltkamp while retaining extra defenders in coverage. Navy demonstrated that mechanism against FAU last season. If Florida reproduces it consistently, the stalled drives and short fields would undermine the Owls’ strongest route to covering.
