You’ve got a Big Ten roster at home as the 5‑seed, and a Sun Belt 12‑seed flying 2,300 miles across three time zones to face them in a first‑round CFP environment. Talent, depth, and setting all tilt toward Oregon before we even get into the numbers.

On offense, both teams can move it – they’re each piling up well into the mid‑400s in total yardage – but they do it differently. Oregon is more balanced and more dangerous through the air, with Austin Novosad and Dante Moore delivering more efficient quarterback play than what James Madison gets from the Alonza Barnett III / JC Evans tandem. The Ducks’ passing output sits higher, and their quarterbacks have thrown more touchdowns with fewer interceptions, which matters when you’re facing better athletes on the other side.
