Washington Huskies at Oregon Ducks

The regular season wraps up in Eugene tonight as the Washington Huskies travel down I-5 to take on the Oregon Ducks at Matthew Knight Arena. While Senior Night emotions and a home-court finale have tilted the spread in Oregon's favor, the underlying data points to the visitors being the superior team in this matchup.

Despite both teams enduring their share of conference struggles, there is a stark difference in how these two squads are operating right now. Washington enters the night ranked inside the top 50 nationally in overall efficiency, sporting a top-45 defense and taking excellent care of the basketball with a 13.3% turnover rate. Oregon, meanwhile, sits outside the top 80 and continues to struggle with ball security, turning it over on 15.5% of their possessions. The Huskies also hold a clear advantage on the glass, pulling down offensive rebounds at a 33.4% clip compared to Oregon's 31.2%. Oregon's Nate Bittle provides excellent interior scoring and rim protection, but the Ducks are still reeling from a 26-point blowout loss to Illinois where their perimeter offense vanished. Oregon has struggled to defend their home floor all season, posting a negative scoring margin in Eugene.
