Butler is currently relying on Azavier Robinson and Jack McCaffery to navigate major minutes, and while both possess high upside, the Cintas Center crowd has a long history of making life miserable for inexperienced playmakers. Butler already faces a ball-security crisis, averaging 11.7 turnovers per game, and that number is likely to spike when Robinson is forced into late-clock decisions against a Richard Pitino defense that prioritizes taking away the perimeter. Xavier’s ability to turn these freshman mistakes into transition points is the primary mechanism for an outright Musketeer win. The tactical advantage shifts even further toward Cincinnati if Yohan Traore is unable to go for the Bulldogs. Traore is a critical interior piece whose recent game-time injury status puts a massive burden on Drayton Jones and Michael Ajayi.
