However, Newark on a Tuesday night is not a victory lap. Seton Hall has built a defensive identity under Shaheen Holloway that is a nightmare for rhythm-based offenses. The Pirates rank 9th nationally in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency and lead the country in steal rate. They don't just play defense; they turn the game into a half-court brawl that disrupts the fluid, assist-heavy motion that Dan Hurley’s squad relies on.

UConn leads the Big East in assists, but that high-volume passing game is exactly what Seton Hall’s ball-hawks are looking to exploit.
