Gary's Take Santa Clara is a different beast at the Leavey Center. They are 8-0 at home this season and have turned their arena into a genuine fortress. While the market is hanging a double-digit number here, the efficiency gap between these two programs is massive. The Broncos rank inside the top 60 nationally in adjusted efficiency, fueled by an offense that moves at a high tempo and spreads the floor with Christian Hammond and Elijah Mahi.

The situational spot here is a nightmare for Loyola Marymount. The Lions are coming off a marathon double-overtime victory against San Francisco just two nights ago. Asking a team to travel and play their second straight road game after that kind of physical and emotional drain is a tall order. While the Lions have a solid defensive identity, their reliance on the three-point shot makes them volatile, especially when tired legs start to show in the second half.

Santa Clara is coming off a loss to Gonzaga and will be highly motivated to protect their home floor and stay in the hunt for a top-three finish in the WCC. I expect Allen Graves to dominate the glass and for the Broncos' depth to pull away in the final ten minutes. The Lions might hang around early, but the fatigue factor and Santa Clara's offensive firepower should lead to a comfortable double-digit cover for the home team.
