Gary's Take This spread is telling us the books see these teams as nearly equal on a neutral floor, but they are ignoring two massive structural problems for the Dukes. First, Duquesne is a different team when they leave Pittsburgh—they are 0-3 in true road games this season, and Belk Arena is a difficult place to play, especially for an A-10 opener. Second, and most critically, the absence of John Hugley IV leaves a gaping hole in the middle of the Duquesne lineup. Without his 15.4 points and physical presence, the Dukes lack the interior anchor needed to disrupt Davidson's methodical offense.
