Gary's Take Wyoming’s offense is operating at a different level right now, and that’s the core of this handicap. The Wyoming Cowboys are scoring far more efficiently, with a clear edge in offensive rating and shot quality (higher offensive efficiency and a better effective field goal percentage), and they translate that into raw production at 88.0 points per game on 49.2% shooting versus 74.3 points and 45.7% for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits (88.0 PPG, 49.2% FG vs 74.3 PPG, 45.7% FG). Even if guard Leland Walker’s questionable status trims a bit of backcourt depth, Wyoming still leans on system-driven efficiency rather than one scorer.
