The read

Seattle and Colorado meet again at Coors Field, with Bryce Miller facing Jose Quintana and the bullpen handoffs looming over this matchup. I’m taking Seattle because its stronger relief performance gives it the more convincing path through the later innings. Domínguez has allowed one earned run in 15⅓ innings over the last 30 days; Muñoz has 16 strikeouts against five walks in 10⅔. Colorado’s sampled relief innings carry a 7.21 ERA against Seattle’s 4.42. Those are unequal recent samples, but the individual results reinforce the comparison. At -154, that distinction carries more weight for me than either team’s record.

Quintana’s return makes Colorado’s coverage plan especially consequential. His final rehab appearance lasted 2⅓ innings and 47 pitches. That is preparation history, not an announced cap, but my estimate gives meaningful weight to an early handoff. Seattle has credible offense against his handedness: Arozarena has a .955 OPS against lefties in 158 at-bats, and Canzone has an .835 OPS in 107. Feltner is Colorado’s strongest counterweight after five scoreless relief innings September 15. His assignment and availability remain unconfirmed, however, so I cannot build Colorado’s pitching plan around a repeat.

The strongest argument against Seattle is Miller’s command: 18 walks in his last five starts, covering 22⅓ innings. Colorado’s left-handed lineup presence makes that concern matter, and another short outing could force Seattle into less effective relief options. Nor am I assuming Domínguez and Muñoz are cleared simply because their September 18 pitch counts were 24 and 17; individual availability remains unknown for both clubs. I still take Seattle because its established offensive matchups and stronger relief results outweigh that risk in my judgment. The price leaves little room for error, so this is a measured moneyline position with modest conviction.

    1-7

Seattle is 1-7 in Bryce Miller's last eight starts this season, and he takes the ball tonight at Colorado. That 1-7 is a team result across eight games — nothing in it separates his own pitching from the offense and bullpen behind him.

    MLBSeattle Mariners· -130

    Julio Rodriguez
    H+R+RBI under 2.5

    -130 · CASHED · ACTUAL 2

    Seattle Mariners

I’m taking Julio Rodríguez under 2.5 hits, runs and RBIs at -130. He has stayed under this number in 11 of his last 15 games and owns a .691 OPS against left-handed pitching this season. Batting fifth also leaves him more dependent on the hitters ahead of him for run-production opportunities.

The strongest objection is the setting and opposing starter. Coors Field enhances offense, and José Quintana returns with a 5.27 ERA and a .298 average allowed to right-handed hitters. Rodríguez could clear this with one extra-base hit in a productive inning. Even so, his recent production and season-long lefty split make under 2.5 playable at this price.

  • THE LONG SHOT
    HUNTER GOODMANHR OVER 0.5
    MLBColorado Rockies· +335

    Hunter Goodman
    HR over 0.5

    +335 · LOST · ACTUAL 0

    Colorado Rockies

I’m taking Hunter Goodman over 0.5 home runs at +335. Goodman has 38 homers in 487 at-bats, including 27 against right-handed pitching, and he gets the cleanup spot at Coors Field. Bryce Miller has allowed 20 home runs in 107⅓ innings, with homers accounting for six of the 16 scoring plays against him across his last six starts. The offered price implies roughly a 23% chance, which is enough compensation for Goodman's power in this park.

The strongest contrary evidence is Goodman's current form: he has homered only twice in his last 15 games and carries a .573 OPS in September. Miller has also held right-handed hitters to a .189 average and .621 OPS this season. This is a price-driven long shot, not a claim that Goodman owns the overall matchup.
