The primary argument against backing the Braves is Spencer Strider’s sudden vulnerability to the long ball, having allowed five home runs over his last two starts. In a hitter-friendly venue like Great American Ball Park, that is indeed a risk, especially against a dangerous home threat like JJ Bleday. However, Strider's underlying metrics remain elite—evidenced by a superb 2.74 xERA and an 11.1 K/9 rate that allows him to strike his way out of trouble. Furthermore, the Braves have a scheduled off-day tomorrow, giving manager Brian Snitker the luxury of using his top relievers, Raisel Iglesias and Robert Suarez, without restriction. Between the massive starting pitching disparity and Cincinnati's fresh bullpen emergency, backing the Braves to complete the sweep is the only logical play.
