The strongest counterargument to this pick is the Dodgers' elite bullpen depth and their recent momentum. However, closer Tanner Scott has faced a heavy workload lately, whereas the Phillies' high-leverage arms, including fireballer Jhoan Duran, are fully rested and ready. Behind the plate, J.T. Realmuto gives Philadelphia a massive defensive edge over Will Smith, especially in blocking Sasaki's dirt-diving splitters. With Don Mattingly steering a highly motivated Phillies squad seeking postseason revenge, Philadelphia possesses the healthier roster, the rested bullpen, and the perfect starting pitching matchup to snap the Dodgers' streak at a fantastic underdog price.
