However, the weather conditions today present a massive problem for his contact-heavy style. While the Royals hold an advantage on the basepaths—especially with Bobby Witt Jr. looking to exploit J.C. Escarra behind the plate—the Yankees' sheer power advantage and Warren's strikeout upside are too much to ignore. Even with Aaron Judge's historical struggles against Wacha, New York's lineup is deep enough to force the Royals' starter out early and expose a Kansas City bullpen that is currently thinned out by injuries. The Yankees swept this team in April, and their power-hitting, high-strikeout profile remains a mismatch that should get them back in the win column today.
