Athletics at Mariners

The fresh news tonight is the deciding factor for me. Brendan Donovan being placed on the 10-day IL today is a massive blow that the market hasn't fully digested. He was the catalyst at the top of that order, hitting over .300 and serving as the primary table setter for the big bats. Without him, the Mariners' offensive rhythm is disrupted against J.T. Ginn isn't a power pitcher, but he generates soft contact and relies on an Oakland defense that is currently one of the cleanest in the league, sporting a .994 fielding percentage and only five errors all year.

While Emerson Hancock has been dominant with his 0.76 WHIP, the Athletics are specifically constructed to counter him tonight.
