Sports picks for Sunday, May 4, 2025

Pacers have the fresher legs, deeper bench, and come in hot while Cavs look worn down after a brutal series. Indiana's up-tempo pace and offensive balance give them a real matchup edge, and you know I lean Pacers when the numbers check out. Revenge angle in play after last meeting – take the points.

No sharp movement or trap signals, and Houston's home edge is neutralized by Golden State's experience and better recent form against the number. Rockets' offense is hot but inconsistent, while the Warriors' veteran core keeps games tight. System says take the points with the dogs—Warriors +2.5 is the smart, value-backed play.

Mets have the clear edge at home with stronger bullpen numbers, better recent form, and fewer lineup injuries. Cards' bats have cooled off and no sharp line movement signals a trap. My system leans Mets ML -154 with respectable, not overwhelming, conviction.
